Three brothers more than four decades, Bee Gees rocked
the listeners with two distinct style of music, pop and disco. The trio is
described as ‘three harmonizing brothers’. The Bee Gees hall of fame citation
says
“Only Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Garth
Brooks and Paul McCartney have outsold the Bee Gees”
From
late 60s, each decade, till present time, Bee Gees made their mark in the music
history with songs like,
How
deep is your love
Jive
talkin’
Stayin’
Alive
How
can you mend a broken heart
Night
fever
Holiday
The
woman in you
Alone
He’s
a liar
Still
waters (run deep)
You
win again
This
is where I come in
And
many many more.
On
January 12, 2003 Bee Gees lost Maurice Gibb, the musical director for Bee Gees,
one of the “three brothers’ and ‘the harmonizing brothers’. After that Berry
and Robin Gibb decided to give up the name Bee Gees, because they wanted the name
to represent ‘three brothers’ - always.
On
May 20, 2012 Robin Gibb passed away fighting cancer leaving the last of the
harmonizing brothers and many fans, listeners all over the world.
This
is the 2nd disco performer we lost this month fighting cancer, Donna
Summer died 3 days ago. It does not matter how much we don’t want to miss our
loved one – when the time comes we do. We only can say
THANK
YOU FOR EVERYTHIG YOU DID FOR US.
